Marian Homes is a non profit organization whose sole mission is to own and maintain houses used as Group Homes for persons with intellectual disabilities. Marian Homes is administered by a 15 member volunteer board of Directors responsible for financial matters, fund raising and maintenance.
Our first house was purchased in the Brecon Ridge subdivision of Fairfax in 1998. The home is currently the residence of five women who live in a family environment as productive members of their community. Full time care of the residents is provided by Chimes of Virginia, a well established provider of services to the intellectually disabled.
Marian Homes purchased its second house in 2010. The second house, in the Greenbriar subdivision of Fairfax, has become the residence of four adult men. Funds generated from this Group Cruise will defray the expenses associated with the conversion of the garage of this house to a fifth bedroom and wheel chair accessible bathroom, thus permitting the addition of a fifth resident.
The cruise we sponsored in 2011 to Bermuda was a big success. Join us on the Enchantment Of The Seas in September 2012 as we again have a good time while supporting a very worthy cause. Create your own mini-group by bringing along your family and friends. Click the image on the right and get the cruise flyer. Then complete the Group Cruise Registration Form and send in per the instructions on the form.
This is a popular cruise. Make sure you get your stateroom and dining preferences by registering as quickly as possible.
