The Board of Marian Homes is pleased to announce our sponsorship of this, our third, group cruise in partnership with Royal Caribbean. We will again be departing from Baltimore, this time to the Western Caribbean. Our departure on February 8 of 2014 means we will be celebrating St. Valentine’s day in the sunny climes away from the mid-winter temperatures of Northern Virginia.
Marian Homes, Inc. is a non-profit organization with the sole mission of owning and maintaining houses used as Group Homes for intellectually disabled. Marian Homes is administered by a 15 member, all volunteer, Board of Directors charged with fund raising, administration, and maintenance of our properties. We currently own two houses, each the residence of five adult persons with intellectually disabilities. The success of our previous cruises has facilitated the conversion of the garage of one of the houses into a wheel chair accessible bedroom and bathroom, as well as the purchase and installation of a back up generator that will guarantee continuous electrical power to one of the houses. Funds from this cruise will help us begin accruing the monies needed to purchase a third house to meet the increasing demand for group homes in Fairfax County.
The cruises we sponsored in 2011 to Bermuda and in 2012 to Canada/New England were a big success. Join us on the Grandeur Of The Seas in February 2014 for a romantic, 10-night Sweetheart Cruise over Valentine’s Day to the Western Caribbean while supporting a very worthy cause.
Create your own mini-group by bringing along your family and friends. Invite them to join you with this e-card…or click the image on the right and get the cruise flyer to send to your friends and family. Then complete our secure, online Booking/Registration Form.
This is a popular cruise. Make sure you get your stateroom preferences by registering as quickly as possible.
